Christmas 2011

Here's the Christmas season in a nutshell.
We kicked off December with the downtown Auburn parade and Grandaddy's birthday!!

We had Caroline's dance demostration. This was her very first recital and we were very proud of her for being so brave!!

 Flowers from Daddy!!

Then Caroline had her school performance. She was very nervous and shy that day, but having GaGa, PaPa, Weezie and Grandaddy come to the class party afterward brought on a smile!!

Kate's class had a party too!! Good thing we had extra hands so I could get to both parties!

Caroline's sweet friend and classmate, Thomas!

Later that day we headed to Calloway Gardens to see the Fantasy in Lights with GaGa and PaPa.

The next weekend we were off to north Alabama to celebrate Christmas with Mamie, PawPaw and River (plus many more).

We squeezed in some Gingerbread house making!!

And got invited to go to the Teddy Bear Tee with some friends! Their mom won a 6 tickets in a raffle, so we were so glad to be included!

We were still anxious about the giant size Teddy, but enjoyed the food, cookies, candy and story time!

One of our sweet sweet babysitters, Miss Holly, came by to give the girls the best Christmas present. A life size card board castle they could color!!! Miss Holly has the opportunity to go to New York for an internship for a couple months, and we are going to miss her soooooo much!!!!

Next we had the annual Pizza and Presents with the Northcutt's!  I think the reason why I LOVE Christmas so much is because its an extra excuse to get together with family!!!

Here we are, the night before Christmas! We set out our milk and cookies (and carrots of course).

Christmas morning gets better every year! Last year it was all about opening!!! The boxes could have been empty and we would have had just as great of time. This year it was neat to see their eyes widen as they opened the gifts and be shocked that Santa actually listened to some of their requests!!! Magical!!!

Then Christmas day afternoon we headed to Ponte Vedra for the Williams' Christmas!
Can you guess what the girls got from GaGa and PaPa??? Their very first bikes!!!

They love them!!!!! We ride every chance we get!!!
We also got a second chance to decorate some cookies!!!
Not much detail, sorry. But wanted to get it all posted before I forget!!!
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Sister's Surprise!!!

About three weeks ago, my sister mentioned coming home as a surprise to my parents for the Florida/Georgia game (played in Jacksonville). And since I thought it would be May before I would get to see my sister again after she came to visit in September, I was beyond thrilled!!!! I started working on our plans to go to my parent's house immediately!!! I was not going to miss a single day of Kara and Tony being in the U.S.!!!
On Monday night, my parents received a call from Tony saying that there was a surprise waiting for them at the airport!! I only wish I could have seen the expressions on my parents' faces!
So...the girls and I went down early Tuesday morning!

And by Thursday night...the whole gang was there...minus Leighton who arrived on Friday along with lots of their friends!

Cathy, Leighton, Kate, Kara, Caroline, Me and Alex
And Saturday was the big game of course. And the girls loved tailgating!

 Caroline with her Uncle Tony

Here is Caroline with Phil screaming, "Go Dawgs!!!" Shhhh....don't tell her Daddy.
Zach, Matt, Mike, Ean, and Paul
 Leighton, Kara and I
And yes, everyone you see in the pictures above stayed under one roof!!!! All 18 of us! My poor parents...their poor house. I can only imagine how long it took them (and their house) to recover after that week! Thank you Mom and Dad!!!! And thank you Kara and Tony for coming over.
Please Please Please surprise us for Christmas and come home!!!!!We love you.

Jack-O-Lantern Lane

It's that time of year again, and we were there on opening day...the pumpkin patch!!! We stayed at the lake this weekend and got up Saturday morning to head to Jack-o-Lantern Lane in Lafayette.
Molly's first year at Jack-o-Lantern Lane!!
Lots of blow up slides and bounce houses!
A fun hayride to pick out our pumpkins!

Shelling Corn...Caroline was very determined!!! She loved it! I think she shelled 5 ears of corn.

Molly Jo sitting in the back off an old chevy truck filled with ears of corn.

We also took a train ride on Thomas the Train, pet baby bunnies, baby goats, horses and cows. Then we ate lunch on the porch of the country store. We spent three hours there and the girls begged to go back today!!!  It was so much fun and now we have pumpkins to take back home and start decorating our front door steps!!!
Happy Fall!!!
